ACC Wins 2.3 MW Project with World’s Largest Bearings Manufacturer

21 March 2016

Beijing, PRC—March 21, 2016—Asia Clean Capital (“ACC”) today announced a 2.3 megawatt solar power supply agreement with SKF (Shanghai) Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SKF at their production Jiading facility in Shanghai. Under the terms of the Agreement ACC will invest 100 percent of the system cost and will undertake the design, construction, and long-term system maintenance.

Electricity from the solar system will be provided to SKF at below-grid rates to ensure operational savings throughout the lifetime of the system.

In addition to monetary savings, the 2.3 megawatt solar system will assist in achieving sustainability goals. Over its lifetime, the system will save approximately 50,000 tons of CO2, or the equivalent of 20-million liters of gasoline.

“ACC is honored to be selected as SKF’s solar provider in Shanghai” said Thomas Lapham, CEO of ACC. “SKF is one of the oldest and most respected companies in Sweden and the world, and with over ten factories in China, SKF and ACC together have the opportunity make a major sustainability impact through solar.”

According to Hansen Mar, EHS Manager of SKF China, “SKF is delighted to kick off this solar cooperation model with ACC. We look forward to building a successful project and using it as a blueprint to roll out across our many facilities around China and the world.”
