ACC provided a fully-financed solar project to Shanghai Allied Auto Parts Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of Shanghai Volkswagen Allied Developing Company at their production facility located in Jiading, Shanghai. The 1.9MW distributed Solar PV system was installed on the roof of the main factory. ACC invested 100% of the system and handles the operation for the following 25 years.
Electricity from the solar system is provided to Allied at below-grid rates to ensure operational savings throughout the lifetime of the system. In addition to operational savings, the 1.9 megawatt solar system can assist in achieving environmental goals. Over its lifetime, the system will save approximately 47,665 tons of CO2, or the equivalent of 20-million liters of gasoline.
